Every working week we spend our time counting down the days until Friday, daydreaming about the 48 hours a week we get to ourselves. But 48 hours isn't much time. How long until we get more than that? A vacation? Christmas and New Year? Perhaps, but even those are only a few more days. 

Unless you count maternity and paternity leave, which is hardly a vacation, you're going to have to work your tail off for 40-odd years before you can even think about taking work off for good.
